Emma Scattergood is a journalist, author and lecturer who has specialised in lifestyle and homes for over 20 years. She joined House Beautiful magazine when it first launched in 1990, then began a highly successful freelance career writing for publications such Period Living, for which she was Consumer Editor, and BBC Good Homes, The Times, Daily Mail, Easy Living, Coast and many more. She has also written a stream of successful interior design books, been featured as a homes expert on BBC radio and run her own design courses.
