Biography

Judith was born and educated in Liverpool.  She did an MA in English Literature at Warwick University, then, after a brief stint working in book publishing, launched her magazine career as an interiors journalist at IPC Magazines.  She worked full-time at Homes & Gardens for six years, latterly as Decorating Editor, then left to pursue a freelance career in 1997.

Since she published her first interiors book, Transforming the Interior (Conran Octopus) in 1997, Judith has gone on to write 12 more books on interior design.  She specialises in delivering inspirational ideas, teamed with down-to-earth advice, and she has a firm understanding of the ebb and flow of family living.  Her latest book, Casual Living (Ryland Peters & Small) sums up her philosophy, and extracts from it were featured in both Elle Deco and Country Living.

Judith lives with her husband, and their two teenage children, in a 1920s house in South West London.
