TIM NEWBURY runs his own landscape design and construction business and he works throughout the UK and Ireland. He has been commissioned to design and build several gardens at Chelsea Flower Show, all of which have won awards, including three Gold Medals. Television appearances include co-presenting Granada Television’s Town Gardens in 1988. His first book was The Ultimate Garden Designer (Ward Lock 1995), followed by Twenty Best Small Garden Designs and Garden Design Made Easy. His latest books are Planting by Numbers, Great Garden Design and Small Garden Design Bible. 2009 will see the paperback release of the phenomenally successful The Ultimate Garden Designer published by Hamlyn.

Biography

Tim Newbury is a landscape architect, with an Honours Degree in architecture from Sheffield University and a Post-Graduate Degree in Landscape Design. With twenty years experience in both landscape and garden design, as well as horticulture and landscape contracting, he now runs his own landscape design and construction business and works throughout the UK and Ireland.

During his time as Landscape Manager of a large East Anglian nursery he was involved with award winning exhibits at Chelsea Flower Show, Liverpool International Garden Festival and Stoke National Garden Festival.

Since the formation of Tim Newbury Landscapes in 1987 he has been commissioned to design and build several gardens at Chelsea, all of which have won awards, including three Gold Medals. His television appearances include co-presenting Granada Television's Town Gardens in 1988. His first book The Ultimate Garden Designer (Ward Lock) was published in spring 1995, which was followed by Twenty Best Small Garden Designs and Garden Design Made Easy. His latest books are Planting by Numbers, Great Garden Design and Small Garden Design Bible published in 2008.
