Top football pundit Archie MacPherson and Danny Alexander MP were both on hand “rising” to the challenge to "ice-a-wish" on 500 cup cakes in only 40 minutes to mark the start of the bakery sectors’ premier competition
The crack team of cup-cake icing novices included Archie, Danny, Make a Wish Regional Fundraising Manager Carolyn Thorton and Scottish Bakers Chief Executive Alan Clarke. They all put pastry pride to one side to join competition ambassador Mich Turner and last years' winners Ali and George Asher in Nairn today (26th February).
As the official Ambassador for Scottish Bakers, Mich will compere the awards ceremony in May.
Mich said “I am delighted to once again be involved in this event. As a professional cake-designer, I have been really impressed by the quality and creativity Scottish bakers are demonstrating and I look forward to being surprised and delighted again this year.
