Paul Ainsworth and fellow chef Anna Haugh join host Michael Buerk in a new BBC One series, Royal Recipes.
Across fifteen 45-minute programmes they will explore the former Royal Palace Audley End, and the recollections of Mildred Nicholls, a servant who worked in the Royal Kitchens more than a hundred years ago.
Inspired by Mildred's recipes and other royal food through history, Paul and Anna will recreate favourite Royal recipes past and present whilst Michael adds riveting historical detail.
In addition, food historians travel the length and breadth of Britain to reveal how Royal food has shaped our nations' tastes and a host of guest chefs, some who have cooked for the royal family, give an insight into favoured dishes and meet the people who supply food for the Royal table.
