Interior designer Linda Barker presents a new 3 part series for Channel 5, 'Brand New House for £5K'.

Creating the home of your dreams need not be a disaster nor cost the earth, as Linda Barker sets out to prove in this timely new makeover show. The darling of daring design has just one week and a strict budget of £5,000 of her clients’money to effect a stunning transformation.

On such a tight budget, everything has to be carefully costed, but Linda’s motto is that cheap does not have to be boring. To make the £5,000 stretch as far as possible, she makes use of design cheats, smart shopping and clever up-cycling.
There are also plenty of tips and suggestions for how you can make similar changes at home.
